The traditional buttonhole gimp used in handworked buttonholes. This is Gutermann agreman No. 1, which is a wiry core wrapped with very fine thread. The gimp provides a smooth, even surface for the buttonhole stitches. A 1 inch buttonhole requires about 4 inches of gimp. Available in 12 colors. Pictured from top left: white, light blue, pink, orange, burgandy, denim blue. Bottom row from left: leaf green, dark green, rust, dark brown, steel grey, black. The buttonhole twist is covered by silk buttonhole twist, so getting an exact color match isn't critical. I've worked white buttonholes over gray gimp and you can't see the gimp. Sold by the yard. PLEASE SELECT FIRST CLASS MAIL IF YOU ARE JUST ORDERING GIMP. I can send as regular First Class Mail, usually 1-2 ounces. The shipping time is same as Priority Mail and much, much less expensive. Email me at mf953 at aol dot com if you have questions or problems with the order. I will always refund excess shipping charges.
